Double-acting hydraulic cylinders feature two connection ports. The plunger within a double-acting cylinder advances and retracts with hydraulic pressure. Advancing and retracting hydraulically provides both push and pull force and precise control of the plunger and faster retraction speed. Double-acting cylinders are ideal for jobs which require controlled retraction with repeatable accuracy or push and pull forces.
